Refrigerator - Styrofoam

You may notice Styrofoam in your new refrigerator and wonder if it is packing or shipping material. This a part of the refrigerator design and is not to be removed.

 

Understanding the Use of Styrofoam In a Refrigerator

Many refrigerators have Styrofoam around the temperature controls, vents, tubing, and other components, which acts as insulation. It is not packing material and should not be removed. If you have removed the Styrofoam, you will need service to have it replaced.
