GE Appliances Account - Linking SmartHQ and Social Media Accounts
If you create a GE Appliances Account and later download the SmartHQ™ app, you can log into the SmartHQ account in the app using your GE Appliances Account email address and password.
If you are using the SmartHQ app to manage your smart appliances, you set up an Account. This email address and password may also be used to log into the GE Appliances Account. The log-in is the same for all of these accounts. You will not be able to use a social media account to log into your SmartHQ or GE Appliances Account.

To create an Account, or later log into your Account, you can log in from any browser except Internet Explorer (IE).

Linking a Social Media (Facebook, Google, or Twitter) Account
If you created an account using an email address and password, and then later create an account using your social media account, you may be able to link the two. If the social media profile is tied to the same email address as your account, you will be prompted to link the accounts. Once linked, you can login with either your social media profile or the local account email and password.
If you created an account using your Twitter account, you will not be able to later create an account using your email and password. With Facebook or Google, you may later set up an account using your email address and password; however, you will not be able to link the two accounts.
