Range - Lock Controls Feature
There are some Ranges which have a Lock Controls feature. The Lock Controls feature on an Electric, Gas or Dual Fuel Range locks out the oven control panel so that pressing the pads does not activate the electronic controls. This will not keep you from using surface burners that are controlled by knobs. It
will lock out the surface burner controls if they are controlled by electronics (digital controls).
- The Lock Controls feature can be set after a Bake or Broil function has been set. However, it will disable / turn off the Bake or Broil function at that time.
Turning the Control Lock Feature On and Off
Press the Lock Controls pad for three seconds to lock or unlock the control. On some models, the Lock Controls pad is not visible. For these models, press the COOK TIME and TIMER ON/OFF pad simultaneously for three seconds to lock or unlock the control. Cancel/Off is always active, even when the control is locked.
