Wall Oven - Cut-out, Overlap, and Overall Dimensions
When you're purchasing and installing a built-in wall oven, there are Cut-Out, Overlap, and Overall dimensions to consider.
Cut-out, Overlap, and Overall Dimensions for a Wall Oven
There are 3 primary dimensions to consider when installing a built-in wall oven.
- Overall Dimensions: The physical height, width and depth of the wall oven.
- Cut-out Dimensions: The space or opening (cut-out) in the cabinet where the oven will fit.
- Overlap Dimensions: The required space around the cut-out space or opening. This consists of the oven trim overlap plus a small amount of clearance. Note: Because the "Overlap" is not just the physical overlap of the oven trim, the oven cut-out plus the overlap will be more than the overall oven dimensions.
The Installation Instructions for your specific model will provide these dimensions. When installing a wall oven, be sure to follow the recommended cut-out and overlap dimensions listed in Installation Instructions the wall oven you're installing.
