Dryer - Combined Energy Factor (CEF) Rating
Energy Star uses Combined Energy Factor (CEF) to compare the energy efficiency of gas and electric clothes dryers in pounds per kWh. The higher the value, the more efficient the dryer is.
Obtaining the Combined Energy Factor for a Dryer
To determine the dryer's CEF, visit Energy Star's website at: https://www.energystar.gov/productfinder/product/certified-clothes-dryers/results
If no results are found for Energy Star and non-Energy Star models: https://www.regulations.doe.gov/certification-data/CCMS-4-Clothes_Dryers_-_Appendices_D1_and_D2.html
