Washer - Washing Shoes

You can wash shoes in a Washer if the shoe material is machine washable. Do not wash shoes made of leather, suede or non-machine washable fabric in the Washer.

Washing Shoes in a Washer

  1. Remove excess mud or dirt chunks from the shoes.
  2. Remove the laces and insoles from the shoes. Insoles should be hand washed.
  3. Place the shoes and laces in a mesh bag or pillow case and close. Place in the Washer.
  4. Wash with old towels to balance the load. Balance the load with a sufficient number of towels approximately equal to the weight of the shoes.
  5. Wash with cold water to protect the shoes.
  6. Liquid detergent is recommend, as powdered detergent can stick in the shoes.
  7. You can also add vinegar to the wash to help remove odor.
