Microwave Standby Power
Generally speaking, the standby power of a microwave is the electricity it uses when plugged in but is not being used. For example, the power required to operate the clock display. Standby Power for a specific model is available through the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) Compliance Certification Database website.
