Range & Wall Oven - Setting Cook Time
Many Ranges and Wall Ovens off a Cook Time feature. The Cook Time feature counts down the cooking time and turns the oven off when the cooking time is complete. Provided below are examples of how to set the Cook Time on various types of oven controls.
Setting the Cook Time
How to Set the Cook Time with Number Entry Controls
- Program the desired cooking method (Bake, Convection Bake, Convection Roast).
- Using the number pads program the temperature.
- Press Start.
- Press Cook Time.
- Using the number pads program the cooking time in hours and minutes.
- Press Start.
How to Set the Cook Time with Slew or Up/Down Arrow Controls
- Program the desired cooking method (Bake, Convection Bake, Convection Roast).
- Using the +/- pads program the temperature.
- Press Start.
- Press Cook Time.
- Using the +/- pads program the cooking time in hours and minutes.
- Press Start.
How to Set the Cook Time with LCD Touch Screen Controls
- Program the desired cooking method (Bake, Convection Bake, Convection Roast).
- Select an oven temperature from the 25 degree increments selections. To set a specific temperature, press and hold on the temperature and a number pad will come up to enter a specific value. Then press Start to enter.
- Press the little Clock Icon at the bottom, right of the screen.
- Select Cook Time.
- Using the number pads program the cooking time in hours and minutes.
- Press Set.
Note: On many models, if there is a delay (generally 30 seconds) after pressing the initial Start or Cook Time, the program will clear and the display will go back to the time of day.
