Monogram Refrigerator - Single and Dual Cooling Systems

Monogram refrigerators use one of the below cooling systems:

Traditional System:

Found on Monogram built-in bottom freezer refrigerators, traditional refrigerators have a single compressor located in a separate housing while the evaporator is located inside the freezer compartment on the rear wall. The fresh food compartment is cooled using cold air taken from the freezer through a damper.

An advanced temperature management system in the Monogram bottom-freezer refrigerator maintains consistent cooling throughout the fresh food and freezer compartments.

Two Compressor (Dual Compressor/Dual Evaporator) System:

Two-compressor built-in refrigerators have separate compressors for freezer and fresh-food, with theevaporators located on the rear wall of the freezer and fresh-food compartments. The benefit of this design is less odor transfer between compartments and more customized temperatures. The downside is that the dual evaporators (one behind the rear freezer wall and one behind the rear fresh food wall) reduces capacity and can be less energy efficient than many other built-in refrigerators.

This is found on integrated 30" customizable refrigerators with convertible drawer. The dual compressors provides precise and customizable climate control with 3 independent temperature management zones. Three separate compartments are controlled by 2 compressors and 2 evaporators. They combine to provide optimal food preservation and convertibility of temperature zones in the lower drawer.

Direct Airflow System:

Found on built-in Monogram SxS refrigerators, the compressor and evaporator are located in the overhead compartment and feeds cold air directly into each compartment. This allows for independent airflow for each zone without any direct air exchange or reductions in capacity.
