Dishwasher How to Tighten Door Handle (Towel Bar Style)

IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTICEThis information is intended for individuals possessing adequate electrical and mechanical skills and basic appliance repair knowledge.  Attempting to repair a major appliance by an unqualified person can result in injury or property damage.WARNING!Before you attempt any repair work on your appliance, disconnect power by unplugging the appliance power cord or turning off the circuit breaker prior to disassembly to avoid the potential for an electric shock.  Reconnect all wires, straps or screws used as grounding devices prior to restoring power.  Failure to follow these instructions can result in personal injury or death.Disconnect power to the dishwasher and wear protective gloves (as there are sharp edges). The outer door panel must be removed to access the door handle.

  1. Remove the two ¼" hex-head screws from the bottom of the front door panel (one on each side).
  2. Remove the ten T-15 Torx screws from the inner door panel (these are located along the sides and top of the panel).  Caution: Wear protective gloves and carefully remove the outer door from the inner door frame.
  3. Tighten the two (one on each side) handle screws 1/4" hex-head.
  4. Replace the inner door panel and screws
  5. Replace the bottom front door panel screws.
