Some cooktops feature error, fault or function codes that are available with digital electronic controls.

Understanding an Error, Fault or Function Code on Cooktop Digital Controls

Fault codes are programmed in digital cooktop controls. These codes help Bodewell technicians quickly diagnose issues with the cooktop. In the event that the electronic control displays a fault code (FXX), a trained Service Technician should be called to diagnose and correct the issue.

Sometimes shutting off the circuit breaker that the cooktop is connected to for 30 seconds will clear the fault, error or function code. However, in most cases service will be required.
