Top Load Washer Warm Temperature Fill Mix

When selecting the Warm Temperature option on a Top Load washer, the mixture of hot and cold water during the fill will depend on the selection of Precise Fill and if the model has Automatic Temperature Control (ATC).

• If no Precise Fill and no ATC, the washer fills with cold only first then hot and cold water mixed alternating with cold only to drive to the target temperature.
• If Precise Fill selected and with ATC, the washer will fill with cold only first then hot only next and back to cold only, alternating until the wet load sensing algorithm is complete. Once that is complete either cold only, hot only, or a mix will fill in to reach the target temperature.
• If Precise Fill is not selected but unit has ATC, the washer fills with cold only first then either straight hot or a mix of hot and cold water. Depending upon the inlet water temperatures sensed, the washer will fill with either cold only, a mix of hot and cold, or hot only to achieve the target temperature.

Note: If the washer is allowed to fill with the lid open, it will fill for the Warm selection with a straight mix of hot and cold water.
