Dehumidifier Storage

When your dehumidifier is not being used for long periods of time or needs to be winterized, the unit should be cleaned, dried, and stored in a dry location.

Winterizing and Storing Instructions for Your Dehumidifier

1. Turn off the power and unplug your dehumidifier.
2. Empty the water tank and clean with dish soap and water or a solution of 90% water and 10% bleach.
3. Dry the tank thoroughly.
4. Remove the filter by pulling the filter handle and pulling straight out.
5. Clean the filter with warm (not hot) water and dish soap.
6. Allow the filter to dry completely before reinstalling.
7. Repackage your dehumidifier in the original carton, if possible.
8. Store your dehumidifier upright in a dry location.
