Top Freezer Refrigerator - Location of Badge and Plug Buttons
Top freezer refrigerators have holes in various locations on the freezer and fresh food doors so that the badge and handles can be installed. The unit comes with 1 badge, 2 handles, and multiple plastic plug buttons to fill the unused holes.Models are typically shipped with a right hand door opening ("hinges" on right), and the handles get installed on the left. The door swing can be reversed so that the door opens in the opposite direction. For directions on reversing the door swing on your refrigerator, consult your Installation Instructions. Download a copy of the Installation Instructions.
The badge that comes with the unit is usually put on after installation, and placement depends on which way the door opens. It should be placed on the opposite side from the handle. The badge has a plastic post that pushes into the appropriate hole at the upper corner of the front of the freezer door.
