Opal Ice Maker - Warranty

Opal Ice Makers have a one year limited warranty for product failure due to a defect in materials or workmanship. The limited warranty is extended to the original purchaser for units purchased for home use within the U.S. and Canada. The warranty does not apply to products that are resold (i.e. from an individual or reselling service).
 

Warranty Details:

If the ice maker fails due to a defect in materials or workmanship, during the limited one-year warranty, GE Appliances will either replace your product with a new or remanufactured product, or refund the purchase price of the product at GE Appliances' sole discretion.

What's Not Covered:

  • Service trips to your home.
  • Improper installation, delivery or maintenance.
  • Failure of the product if it is abused, misused, or used for other than the intended purpose.
  • Failure of the product is if used commercially.
  • Damage caused after delivery.
  • Replacement of the light bulbs, if included.
  • Damage to the product caused by accident, fire, floods, etc.
  • Incidental or consequential damage caused by possible defects with this appliance.
  • Software bugs that can be corrected with an update via the SmartHQ™ App or Opal App (model OPAL01GEPKT)
  • Labor and other charges to install and/or remove the product

Refunds:

We will provide refunds for Opal purchases up until the unit has shipped. Purchases can only be refunded back to the card that the original purchase was made on.
