Dehumidifier - Internal Pump Not Working
Some Dehumidifiers have an internal pump that can be used to remove water collected by the appliance. This can be an essential need if you do not want to have to empty the bucket manually and do not have access to a gravity (floor) drain.
Diagnosing an Internal Pump That Is Not Working on a Dehumidifier
If your Dehumidifier has an internal pump and is not draining the water, check the following conditions to see if this resolves the concern.
- Ensure the pump is turned on.
- The bucket must be in place for the Dehumidifier to drain.
- The bucket must be full in order to start draining.
- Make sure the drain hose does not exceed 16 feet in length.
Additional Support
If these tips do not resolve the issue and the Dehumidifier is still not draining, then it is not operating properly. Please refer to the Owner's Manual for the model you own for warranty information.
If the appliance is out of warranty and in need of a repair, check with local servicers to see if they service Dehumidifiers. GE Appliances Factory Service does not service Dehumidifiers.
