Single Stage Filtration System – Filter Indicator Light
Single stage filtration systems have a battery powered indicator light on the faucet to remind you when it is time to change the filter. Normally the light will be off. After 6 months of use, the amber LED light will flash every 30 seconds to indicate that the filter needs to be replaced.
To Install the Battery:
- Remove the lens cover from the faucet base. Grip it from both sides and pull forward.
- The filter reminder is powered by one CR2032 3 volt battery. The batter should be installed with the + side down in the battery tray.
- When the battery is installed properly, the amber LED light will flash 5 times. This confirms the battery is installed properly and that the reminder has been reset.
To Reset the Indicator:
- To ensure proper operation of the filter reminder, the battery should be replaced at the same time as the filter. Removing the battery and installing a new one (or reinstalling the old one) will reset the filter reminder.
If 6 months have elapsed and the light has not come on, check the battery. Make sure it is installed with the + sign down. Replace the battery if necessary.
