Over-the-Range Microwave - Installation on Counter or Shelf

Over-the-Range Microwave Ovens and Advantium/Five in One Ovens cannot be used on a counter or shelf and are not UL (Underwriters Laboratory) approved for this purpose.

Installing or Using an Over-the-Range Microwave or Advantium Oven on a Counter or Shelf

Keep in mind the underside is not flat on an Over-the-Range Microwave or Advantium/Five in One Oven. This would not provide a stable surface. Additionally, there can be a heat issue, especially if the vent fan or surface lights were accidentally turned on.

Other Installation/Use Considerations

• Do not install within a closed cabinet or a cut-out space where the bottom is covered.
• These can be installed under a cabinet, even if there is not a cooking surface underneath the appliance. However, the height clearances outlined in the Installation Instructions must still be met.
