Range & Wall Oven - Changing Oven Temperature Using Electronic Controls

Many Ranges and Wall Ovens have electronic controls for operating the oven. To change the oven temperature while baking, you do not need to turn the oven off first.

Changing the Oven Temperature While Baking

1. While the oven is in use, press Bake.
2. Change the temperature using the number pads or the + (plus) / - (minus) pads, depending on the model.
3. Press Start.

If you are raising the temperature, the oven will go into Preheat to reach the new temperature. During Preheat, the upper and lower heating elements are on high to speed preheating. You may need to remove your food until the oven reaches the new temperature.

Changing the Oven Temperature While Broiling

1. While Broil is in use, simply press the Broil pad to toggle between Hi or Lo Broil.
2. Press Start.

Switching Between Bake and Broil

You can also switch between Bake and Broil in a similar manner. For example, if you are Baking and want to switch to Broil to brown the top of an item when baking is complete, do the following:

1. While the Baking temperature is displayed, press the Broil Hi/Lo pad (once for Hi, twice for Lo). The oven automatically switches from Bake to Broil.
2. Press Start.
