Top Load Washers Care for Long Vacation
Follow the instructions below to care for your washer when going on a long vacation:
- Turn off water supply faucets.
- Disconnect the hoses from the water supply and drain out the water from the hoses.
- Remove washer drain hose from drain. Lay hose on the floor and allow water to drain into a shallow pan or on the ground.
- Carefully tilt the washer by raising the front of the washer 4" to 6" to allow any remaining water in the pump to drain out of the drain hose. For safety, DO NOT do this if the washer and dryer are stacked or the unit is a unitized washer/dryer.
