Slide-In Ranges - Auto Re-Ignition

Starting in September 2017, GE Cafe Series dual fuel slide-in ranges have an electric ignition with auto reignition feature. The burners will relight if the flame goes out.

All other GE, GE Profile, and GE Cafe Series gas and dual fuel ranges and cooktops have a Flame Stability Chamber. The Flame Stability Chamber is a small protected pocket of flame within the sealed burner. If the burner is at a low setting and the burner goes out because of a door slamming or strong breeze from an open window, the burner will usually maintain enough flame to relight.
