Bottom Freezer Refrigerator - Turn Cooling On/Off, Not Cooling, Membrane Control Style
If your Refrigerator is not cooling, the cooling system may have been turned off. If your Bottom Freezer Refrigerator has the style of control panel shown in the photo below, follow the steps listed below for turning the cooling system ON or OFF.

Right Edge of the Left Refrigerator Door (visible only when the door is open) or at the top of the Fresh Food compartment.

Turning the Refrigerator On and Off
Turning the cooling system off stops the Refrigerator from running/cooling but it does not shut off the electrical power to the fridge.
- To turn ON the cooling system, press either the REFRIGERATOR or FREEZER pad. The display will show the preset temperature settings of 37° Fahrenheit for the Refrigerator section and 0° Fahrenheit for the Freezer section.
- To turn OFF the cooling system, press and hold the REFRIGERATOR and FREEZER pads simultaneously for 3 seconds. When the cooling system is OFF the display should read OFF.
