Electric Range & Cooktop - Burner Temperature Range

With electric cooktop burners, there is not a temperature range associated with each burner.

Understanding the Burner Temperature Range on an Electric Range and Cooktop

The burner cycles on and off more or less frequently depending on the setting. On high, it cycles off much less than on low. Other factors that make it difficult to provide a temperature range include the size of the pan, the food or liquid being cooked, and the material of the pan.

The settings do not equate to an exact temperature. If so, we would simply display a temperature for each selection. The settings indicate the amount of power or level of power for the burner. The actual temperature varies depending upon the type of cookware used, the size of the pan, the amount of liquid and food in the pan, if the pan is covered as well as the power level selected.
