Microwave - PEB7227 / PES7226 Stainless or Slate Option

There are a variety of countertop microwaves that have the option to be built-in with a trim kit. Microwave trim kits are designed to provide a built-in look while also providing air flow necessary to the microwave.

The PEB7227 microwave is intended to be built-in with a trim kit, rather than installed on the counter. While it can be used as a countertop model, the appearance and design makes it a better choice for built-in installations. The PES7227 is the countertop version of this model, and cannot be built-in. The trim kit will not work with the PES7227.

*NOTE:  Starting April 2019, the nomenclature of models PEB7227SLSS and PEB7227BLTS will change to one model number:  PEB7227ANDD to clearly represent the product appearance.

Stainless

The PEB7227SLSS* is our "stainless" model, meaning that it is the model that is paired with other stainless appliances. The door and control is the same dark gray (Dark Dorian) used on the stainless oven door and control panel, as well as the accents and case sides on other stainless appliances.

Since the PEB7227 is intended for built-in installations only, the required 27" or 30" stainless trim kit is the stainless framing around the dark gray (Dark Dorian) door and control. When the microwave is installed with the stainless trim kit, it has a similar appearance as our Stainless wall ovens, which are commonly paired with built-in microwaves in the cabinet.

The PEB7227SLSS* is also the option if you are considering Slate appliances. Slate appliances use the same dark gray (Dark Dorian) for oven doors, control panels, accents, and case sides as our stainless models.

Since the PEB7227 is intended for built-in installations only, the required 27" or 30" Slate trim kit is the Slate framing around the dark gray (Dark Dorian) door and control. When the microwave is installed with the Slate trim kit, it has a similar appearance as our Slate wall ovens, which are commonly paired with built-in microwaves in the cabinet.
