Refrigerator - IM4D / IM4LED Accessory Icemaker Kit

The IM4D is an accessory icemaker kit that provides everything needed to install an icemaker into most icemaker-ready top freezer and bottom freezer refrigerator models made since 2001*. If you have this kit and want to know if it will work with existing models, please check the label on the back of your refrigerator to ensure compatibility. The kit includes the icemaker, bucket, fill tube, water valve, and installation instructions, as well as adapters and power cords for multiple models.

 

*Check the model's product specifications. If the refrigerator calls for an IM5D icemaker (optional second icemaker), use that icemaker kit instead. French Door Refrigerator - IM5D Accessory Icemaker Kit.

 

About the IM4D

  • You cannot use the IM4D in a model that accepts an IM4 or IM4A, and vice versa.

  • Similar to the IM6D and can be sold in its place.

  • The capacity of the ice bucket is 6 lbs.

  • Cannot be used with a Side-by-Side refrigerator.

  • Ice Storage Bin Dimensions: 9.5"W x 9.5"H x 14.5"D

  • Make sure the safety outlet cover (may appear to look like a 2-prong outlet) has been removed when connecting the 6-prong icemaker cord.

About the IM4LED

  • Launched in 2017 and discontinued April 2019 (available until stock is depleted)

  • Same as the IM4D, except that it is also equipped with LED lights to add bright lighting to the freezer.

  • Can be used in any model accepting an IM4D icemaker.

  • The LED lights are activated by a motion sensor when the freezer door is opened.

  • The sensor is located on the front of the icemaker.

  • The LED lights are set to turn off after a period of time if no motion is detected in front of the sensor.

  • The light operates even if the icemaker is set to the "off" position.

Note: The IM4LED is only available as a kit. The icemaker body with LED light is not sold separately.

  • The IM4D can only be purchased through an appliance dealer.
