Microwave - Symbol or Icon in Display

Some microwave ovens have a symbol or icon that appears in the display when you use the appliance. Not all models have this feature but some do.

Understanding the Symbol or Icon Showing in the Display Window When Using a Microwave

Some microwaves will show a square or rectangular icon in the display while the microwave is running. It may look like a box with something inside of it or look like a small picture of a calculator, for example. This symbol represents a microwave and indicates that the microwave is in use. This is normal. It cannot be disabled.
