Microwave - Display Fading or Not Displaying Properly

There are Microwave Ovens, both Countertop and Over-the-Range models, which have a feature to turn off the clock in the display. This is a feature that has the clock display on or off continuously. However, if the display panel on a Microwave is fading out, blurry, or just not displaying properly, this is not a normal function of the appliance.

Resetting the Control Panel Display on a Microwave

If the Microwave display is starting to only show partial characters, for example, segments of the numbers/letters are missing, or has started to dim or fade over time, try disconnecting power to the Microwave for a couple of minutes to reset the controls. If this does not help, service will be needed.
