A few, select countertop microwave models offer a demo mode feature.

Using Demo Mode on a Countertop Microwave

The demo mode feature may be used by a dealer to demonstrate microwave features without using any microwave power. The demo mode (in most cases) will not be terminated by simply unplugging the appliance, regardless of how long it is powered down. The standard way to enter/exit demo mode for all models with 0 through 9 number pads is to hold down the "POWER LEVEL" and "0" pads together for 3 seconds.

1. Power the microwave off for 1 minute
2. Power the microwave back up. Once the clock setting display or any other info shows on the display, hold down these pads simultaneously for at least 3 seconds.
3. This must be done soon after power up, because we normally have a 1 to 2 minute timeframe after power up to do this. After that time or after setting the clock it will not be possible.
