How to Determine the Age or Manufacture Date of a Cafe Appliance
The manufacturing date is coded into the serial number (not the model number) of each appliance. Our serial numbers begin with two letters followed by six numbers. The first letter identifies the month and the second letter identifies the year it was manufactured. The corresponding letters for months and years are in the chart below. For example, if the serial number begins with the letters "GA," the appliance age is April of 2001.
Note: Every ten years or so, we run through the alphabet, and start over at letter A. So, some serial numbers may be duplicated, but correspond with different years. (i.e., a serial number of AD could be January 2002 or January 2014). If you are still unsure of the year of manufacture, Contact Us with your model and serial number for further assistance.
