Dryer - Storage / Winterizing
No specific precautions are required to winterize a dryer unless it has Steam features that require it to be connected to a water line.
Winterizing or storing a dryer with Steam features is easy. Turn off the water valve and then detach the cold water hose from the back of the dryer. There should be minimal water that is in the line within the dryer that may drip out the back. You could also run a brief Steam Refresh cycle following these steps to further evacuate the line, but it is not essential.
After sitting in a cold environment all winter it is best to let the dryer warm up to room temperature before using it again.
