Freestanding Ranges - Foil in Backsplash or Oven Vent

There is foil wrapped insulation that surrounds the oven vent behind the backsplash of the range, beneath the oven control.  It insulates the hot oven vent from the nearby electronic control.  It should not be readily visible, but may be seen at certain angles. This is normal.
