Smart Appliances - Not Receiving SmartHQ App Notifications
When you are using your smart appliances through the SmartHQ™ app, you can receive notifications and alerts about your connected appliances. If you are not receiving notifications, review the tips below.
Not Getting Notifications
SmartHQ App Settings
Check that notifications are enabled for your connected appliances in the SmartHQ app itself. Within each appliances' settings toolbar, you can find the Notifications page. Make sure that each of the various notification settings are toggled to "Enabled."
Phone Settings
Notifications for your phone are a service through Apple or Google, which each have a pop-up asking if GE Appliances can send Push Notifications to the phone. Even if you set up notifications in the SmartHQ app, if you declined the permission to send push notifications through Apple or Google, you won't receive the SmartHQ app notifications. Check the Notifications page in your phone settings and make sure you have "Allow Notifications" enabled for the SmartHQ app.
