Top Load Washer - Start-Up Sequence Adding Water to Basket

Many of our top load washers have a "start-up sequence" after being started or un-paused after the lid has been opened and then closed again. You'll find this operation on models starting around 2019.

Understanding the Start-Up Sequence on a Top Load Washer

Any time the washer is being started or restarts after the washer lid has been opened and closed, the washer will turn on the cold water valve for two short periods followed by a 10 second pause before continuing. If the lid is opened during this period, the washer will pause and you'll need to press Start again to un-pause it and restart the cycle.
