Whole Home Filtration - Rated and Max Flow Rate

Water filtration system often listed a "Rated Flow Rate" and a "Maximum (Max) Flow Rate."
  • The rated flow rate is the flow rate at which the filter reduction claims are tested.  
  • The max flow rate is the expected maximum flow rate through the system given ideal conditions and pressures.
 
The filters in whole-home systems have very low pressure drop, so you will likely not notice a significant difference to your current flow rate.
