Dishwasher - Detergent Cup Not Closing

If the cup will not close:

 

• Be sure the dishwasher is off before adding detergent; otherwise, the detergent cup will not close and latch properly. The control may blink or beep to remind you to start the dishwasher. 
•  
  • To reset the control: Press the Start/Reset pad twice to reset the dishwasher. The dishwasher will run about 90 seconds while the unit pumps out; when finished, try closing the soap cup again.
• If using a detergent pod or tablet, make sure it is not interfering with the cover.
• Make sure no detergent, food soils, etc. is caught in the latch mechanism.
• If the control does not blink or beep but the cup still does not operate, there is likely a problem with the mechanical part of the trip mechanism. A service call will be necessary.
