Air Conditioner - Red Light Behind Filter or Control Panel

Some window air conditioners feature WiFi capability. These are typically called a Smart window air conditioner. These models often have a WiFi status light.

Understanding the WiFi Status Light on an Air Conditioner

With models that have WiFi capability (Smart models), you may see a red light behind the filter on the right side of the air conditioner. On some models, it might be behind the control panel, but not associated with any buttons or features.This red light is the status light on the internal WiFi module, and is just an indicator that the module is functioning. If the red LED indicator light is disruptive, you can place some black tape over it, if you prefer.
