Advantium - Reasons Why the Bottom of Your Food May Be Undercooked

Cooking results may vary, even with the pre-programmed recipes, due to differences in food composition and size. As a result the cooking cycle power levels may need to be adjusted by the user (U-L-M). In this case, the Lower lamp (L) power level may need to be increased.

Cooking results can also be affected by the following:

  • Cooking in a dish placed on a metal tray. Foods cooked in oven safe glass or ceramic dishes should be placed directly on the turntable (metal ring), not on a metal tray.
  • Cooking with more than one metal tray stacked together. Using more than one metal tray at a time will reduce the amount of heat reaching the bottom of the food.
  • Cooking with frozen food. Make sure that meats are completely thawed out before cooking.
  • Cooking without turning the food (especially meats). Most pre-programmed recipes will provide a prompt to turn food before the cycle finishes.
  • Placement of the food on the metal tray is important. See the Cookware Tips section in your Owner's Manual.
