Opal Ice Maker - Display Ring is Flashing or Blinking Green (Models with a Round Button on the Front)

When operating normally, the display ring around the Power Button turns green when the Opal Ice Maker is turned On or turned Off. If the green light is blinking when you have not pressed the Power Button, then your Opal is losing power or turning on and off on its own.

 

To correct this:

1. Check the power cord to make sure it is fully plugged in.

2. Try plugging the unit into an entirely different outlet.

3. If you are using or have used the smart phone app, it can cause On/Off issues. Disable the schedule in the app and then reset the Opal by unplugging it for 3 minutes.

 

Note: Avoid using an extension cord or power strip with the Opal. If you are using an extension cord, confirm it is a UL-listed, 3-wire ground type appliance extension cord having a grounding type plug and that the electrical rating of the cord is 15 amps (minimum) and 120 Volts.
