Opal Ice Maker - Display Ring Blue but Unit is Full of Water (Models with a Round Button on the Front)

Opal Ice Makers with a large round button on the front visually indicate what mode they are in. When the display ring around the button is blue, this would normally mean the appliance needs water. If you are getting the blue display ring even though the Opal is full of water, the Ice Maker is not working properly.
 

Test If the Ice Maker Is Working Properly

  1. Put the Opal in Cleaning Mode using the switch on the back of the appliance.
  2. Press the front Power button.
  3. Let the Opal run in this mode for three minutes.
  4. If the pump is operating correctly, you should see and hear water pumping through your Opal.
    • If water does begin pumping during this time, the pump is operating correctly. Switch the Ice Maker back to Ice Mode and start making ice.
    • If water does not begin pumping during this time or if the Opal still displays a blue light even with the pump working, please contact us so we can resolve the issue.
