Opal Ice Maker - Not Turning Off

If you are pressing the power button on the front of the Opal Ice Maker but it is not responding and won't turn off, check the following prior to contacting Opal Support.

 

Diagnosing an Opal Ice Maker That Is Not Turning Off

  • Unplug your Opal for 3 to 4 hours.

  • Make sure the button is being fully pressed.

    1. Try holding the button down for 10 seconds.

    2. If it is still not responding, try using two fingers (or both thumbs together) to press the Power button.

    3. If that doesn't work, try to use the heel of your hand to turn the Opal On or Off.

  • If you're Connected to the SmartHQ App on your smartphone, check or reset the On/Off schedule on your app.
