Opal Ice Maker - Not Making Ice
If your Opal Ice Maker is not making ice, it may be about to start the ice making process. If that's the case, the Ice Maker will visually indicate what mode it is in.
Models with a Round Button on the Front -
You should see white on the button on the front of the Opal. If you see white, the unit will flush the system with water for approximately 5 minutes. You may see or hear water running during this process. Let the unit work until it starts producing ice.
If the button on the front is yellow, the unit is set in the cleaning mode and will not produce ice. Slide the switch on the back of the Opal to ICE and the unit will begin to produce ice.
Models without a Round Button on the Front -
(XPIO13BCBT, XPIO13SCSS, XPIO23BCBT, XPIO23SCSS):
In the upper left corner on the front of the Opal you will see Making Ice when it is going into (or already in) that mode. Allow the unit some time to start producing more ice.
If Add Water is highlighted, your unit needs more water before it can cycle to make ice.
If you see Cleaning or Defrosting on the front, the unit is in the cleaning or defrosting mode and will not produce ice.
If the unit continues to not make ice:
Check that the ice bin is pushed all the way in place.
Try to reset the Ice Maker by unplugging the unit for 3-4 hours.
If the unit still won't make ice, contact Opal Support at myopalservice.com or call 1-866-907-6718, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM, EST.
