Opal Ice Maker - Ice Making Schedules

Using the Opal's Connected feature, you can schedule when the Opal comes On and goes Off using the SmartHQ​​​​​​​™ app. When the schedule is enabled, Opal will check to see if it should be On or Off once every hour, at the top of the hour.

 

Using the Ice Making Schedules on an Opal Ice Maker

  • Opal doesn't know when daylight savings time occurs, so you will need to change it manually. Simply reconnect your app and make a minor change to your schedule. This will update Opal's internal clock and correct its schedule.

  • If you manually turn your Opal On, but it is scheduled to be Off in the app, it will shut off the next time it checks the schedule. This will usually occur at the top of the hour. To fix this issue, go to your app and disable the schedule or unplug your Opal, wait a few seconds, then plug it back in.
