Opal Ice Maker - White Marks In Ice Bin and Drip Tray

White powder may form on the surfaces of the Opal Ice Maker that come in contact with water. These deposits are calcium deposits and are a normal occurrence.

Cleaning the Bin and Tray on an Opal Ice Maker

To clean the Ice Bin, remove the Ice Bin from the Ice Maker and clean with a soft cloth dampened with hot, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry with a soft cloth.

The Drip Tray should be wiped dry routinely since water left in this area typically leaves mineral deposits. To clean the Drip Tray, remove the Drip Tray from the Ice Maker and clean with a soft cloth dampened with hot, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry with a soft cloth.

Note: Do not use chemicals or solvents to clean the Ice Bin and Drip Tray.

The Owner's Manual for your specific model provides instructions for removing mineral deposits from the Ice Maker and accessories.
