Smart Water Softeners - Valve Status on App Shows Transition

Our smart water softeners allow you to monitor the water softener using the SmartHQ™ app on your smartphone. One of the things you can check with the SmartHQ app is the Valve Status. This tells you whether the shut-off valve is in bypass mode (not softening) or if there is an issue with the valve. 

 

Valve Status - "Transition"

  1. Transition with Manual Override displaying on Smart HQ app - Water shut-off valve is in manual override mode. 

    • Check the bypass on the back of the unit and make sure it is not in bypass mode.

  2. Transition with no Manual Override displaying on SmartHQ app - The water shut-off valve is not communicating with the control board.

    • Make sure the shut-off valve is connected to the unit.

    • Turn the unit On and then Off

  3. Transition with Exclamation Point on the SmartHQ app - There is an error code.

    • Check to see if there is an error code on the unit's display. The water valve was disconnected or there could be an issue with the water shutoff valve itself.
