French Door Refrigerator - Noise in Fresh Food Door When Closing Freezer Drawer

On refrigerators with a freezer drawer, you will hear a noise in the left refrigerator door that houses the ice and water dispenser. It sounds like an electronic noise, such as a vent opening or closing. You may even hear a second noise within seconds of the first noise. This is the damper door in the dispenser opening and closing, and is normal.

The duct door opens when you close the freezer in order to equalize the pressure in the freezer.  Moving warm air into a cold freezer creates a suction so opening the ice duct door momentarily equalizes the pressure when you close the freezer drawer.
