GE Appliance Product - How to Schedule Repair Service

GE Appliances manufactures and distributes many types of appliances. For example, we make major household appliances, many types of water products, and small household or housewares products. The process for obtaining service support varies, depending upon the type of product.
 
To obtain in-warranty or out-of-warranty service for major GE Appliance products, please schedule a service appointment with GE Appliances Factory Service.

Return or Exchange Warranties

Some appliances have return-to-vendor warranties and cannot be serviced. These may include window air conditioners, portable air conditioners, dehumidifiers, countertop microwaves, and small appliances. The warranty page in the Owner's Manual will provide the details regarding the warranty coverage for the appliance. Download a copy of the Owner's Manual to check on the warranty details.
 

Water Heater and Water Products

We are providing the contact details for obtaining in-warranty and out-of-warranty service on various water products below:
 
  • GE Water Heaters (for models made after July 2019): 1-800-943-8186 (Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 7 p.m. EST).
  • GeoSpring Hybrid (Heat Pump) Electric Water Heater Service: Contact 1-888-443-4394 (Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. EST).
  • Electric and Gas Water Heater Service (for models made prior to January 2017): Contact the Water Heater Technical Support line at 1-800-431-1549 (Monday - Saturday, 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. EST, Sunday 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. EST).
    • In Canada, contact 1-800-263-8342.
  • Hot and Cold Water Dispensers: Are not serviced by GE Appliances.
  • All other Water Products service: Contact the SmartWater line at 1-800-952-5039.

Rescheduling or Canceling Service for GE Appliance Products

For all major GE Appliance products, if you have the confirmation number for your service call, you may reschedule or cancel with GE Appliances Factory Service.
 

Tracking a Service Call

A bonus and benefit to using GE Appliances Factory Service is our Service Tracker. Keep informed about your service appointment using our Service Tracker. You can access details such as the status of the call, the technician's first name and a map which allows you to track the technician once they are on the way to your home.
