The quickest and cleanest way to eliminate the squeaking of a Refrigerator door is to lubricate the top and bottom hinges with the below recommended oils, then work the door back and forth until the noise goes away.

Lubricating Refrigerator Door Hinges

Refrigerator door hinges do not require lubrication as a part of appliance routine maintenance. However, the following lubricants can be used if you have an annoying squeaky door hinge. General purpose lubricants that are safe and approved for use on a Refrigerator door hinge are provided below.

• Paraffin Wax (not candle wax) - can also be used on the door gaskets.
• Petroleum Jelly - recommended for door hinges, door gaskets and Fresh Food drawers/bins (including rollers).
• Mineral Oil - Great for use on door hinges and can be washed off easily.
