Side-by-Side Refrigerator - How to Align Doors
Door alignment or adjustment can be done on all 2001 and newer Side-by-Side style Refrigerator models. Door alignment is a part of the Refrigerator installation and is not covered under the warranty. All models are shipped with the doors level.Aligning the Doors
If the doors are uneven on a Side-by-Side Refrigerator, use the bottom door alignment screw to align them by following the instructions below.- Locate the door alignment screw at the bottom of the fresh food door.
- Using a 5/16” or 7/16” wrench, turn the door adjusting screw to the right to raise the door or to the left to lower it. A nylon plug embedded in the threads of the pin prevents the pin from turning unless a wrench is used.
- After one or two turns of the wrench, open and close the Refrigerator door and check the alignment at the top of the doors.
- If necessary, repeat the above steps until the doors are aligned.
