Dishwasher - Sani-Rinse Option
Select dishwasher models offer a Sani-Rinse option. Sani-Rinse is also called the "heated rinse" option on some models. The Sani-Rinse option provides an effective rinse for germ free dishes. This is great for baby dishes or when someone is sick.
-
The Sani-Rinse heats water during the entire final rinse to ensure a very hot final rinse.
-
The Sani-Rinse option is only available for use on the Potscrubber and Normal wash cycles.
-
Touching the Sani On / Off touch pad turns the Sani-Rinse option On (LED is lighted) and Off (LED light is off).
-
You can change the Sani On / Off selection at any time before or after starting the dishwasher.
-
The Sani-Rinse option will heat the water to 145 degrees Fahrenheit (+ or - 5 degrees) and may extend the entire cycle up to approximately 20 minutes longer.
Note: A dishwasher made for residential (household) use does not get hot enough to sterilize items. Only commercial use dishwashers are able to achieve the high water temperature required to sterilize. 180 degrees Fahrenheit is the approximate temperature required to sterilize dishes and other items. A residential use dishwasher is not designed for use with water that is that hot.
