Dehumidifier - Compressor Not Operating
If the room temperature goes below 41 degrees Fahrenheit, frost may accumulate on the dehumidifying coils. This can reduce the Dehumidifier's operating efficiency.
Understanding Why the Compressor May Not Be Operating on a Dehumidifier
Some model Dehumidifiers are equipped with an Automatic Defrost Control. When frost builds up on the coils, the compressor will cycle off and the fan will run continuously until the frost disappears. Air that is slightly cooler than room temperature may be exhausted while defrosting the coils. Once the coils are defrosted, the compressor will automatically restart.
